Sé Merry Doyle established Loopline’s credentials as a major force in documentary production when his first major work, a film on Irelands most famous architect ‘James Gandon – A Life’, became a critical success.
He started his career in the theatre working alongside Liam Neeson, Gabriel Byrne, and Jim Sheridan. Like his contemporaries his destination would be the world of film.
Martina has worked with Loopline Film since the mid 1990s and has been responsible for developing much of its arts-based programming. She is currently in production with a documentary on the Irish-German writer, Hugo Hamilton, a film she is directing and producing. She is the director and series producer of Muintir na Mara (People of the Sea), and is in post-production with the fifth series. She will shortly direct the documentary series Mná an IRA (Women of the IRA).
Vanessastudied film as part of a Liberal Arts Degree at the University of Limerick. Subsequently she worked for the Galway Film Fleadh, Film West Magazine and in film training with Galway Film Centre and Filmbase, Dublin where she still tutors on the documentary foundation course. She has also lectured on the film courses in Griffith College Dublin, Colaiste Dhulaigh and the University of Limerick. She has experience in camera, producing and directing and has directed short documentaries for Amnesty International Ireland and award winning Dublin based production company Venom Films.
Nicky Dunne is a maestro of all things film. He has worked as an editor, colorist and sound supervisor with key industry professionals like Jim Sheridan, Neil Jordan and Ronan O’Leary.
Loopline were delighted when Nicky agreed to take responsibility for both editing and color mastering at Loopline Film.
Genevieve studied film production in Griffith College Dublin where she directed two short documentaries and one drama. Since college she has focused her energies on editing. She joined Loopline Film in 2008 and within six months became the editor on the documentary series ‘Muintir na Mara’, she is currently editing her third series of the programme.
