Loopline Film was established in 1992 by Sé Merry Doyle. Martina Durac joined the company in 1995 and since then, they have made it their mission to produce high-quality documentaries. The award winning Director/ Producer Vanessa Gildea has recently become part of the team. Award winning productions include 'Alive Alive O - A Requiem for Dublin', 'Patrick Kavanagh - No Man's Fool', 'Jimmy Murakami - Non Alien' and the hit of the Cork Film Festival 'Dreaming the Quiet Man'. Currently in production is a documentary on the acclaimed writer Hugo Hamilton, 'Mná an IRA' on women who served in the IRA, and the sixth series of 'Muintir na Mara' for RTE.Latest Updates:
Shebeen Flick screens ‘Jimmy Murakami – Non Alien’
There will be a special screening of ‘Jimmy Murakami – Non Alien’ in Shebeen Flick on Tuesday 6th November at 7PM. The feature doc will be preceded by Murakami’s award winning short animation film ‘Good Friend’. Jimmy Murakmi will attend the screening. Shebeen Flick is located on 4 Georges Street Dublin.
American Film Institute selects Dreaming the Quiet Man
The American Film Institute has selected ‘Dreaming the Quiet Man’ for its annual ‘Best of Europe Film Festival’. Washington DC hosts ‘Jimmy Murakami – Non Alien’
‘Jimmy Murakami – Non Alien’ screens at the Washington DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival on the 9th October. In this award winning feature documentary, the famous animator makes a pilgrimage back to Tule Lake Concentration Camp, where he was interned alongside his family for four years after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor.
