We are very proud to announce the selection of Sé Merry Doyle’s film ‘Dreaming The Quiet Man’ for the upcoming Guth Gafa in Donegal. This is the only festival dedicated to showcasing Irish and international documentaries. Our film features Maureen O’Hara, Martin Scorsese, Peter Bogdanovich, with narration by Gabriel Byrne. The film premiered at Cork Film Festival with Maureen O’Hara in attendance and then traveled to Dingle Film Festival. The film’s prestige was cemented with an international premier at MOMA in New York introduced by Gabriel Byrne. Gabriel selected the fill to coincide with his initiative ‘Revisiting The Quiet Man’ in association with Culture Ireland and the Irish Film Institute. The film will go on general release in Ireland later this year. So make the pilgrimage to Guth Gafa and get the inside track on John Ford’s most personal film ‘The Quiet Man’.
